The 2017 MoATA Annual Meeting & Symposium will be held in Fulton, MO. The educational programming begins Friday June 2nd at 1:00pm. Friday’s schedule includes educational sessions on psychological perspectives in the injured athlete, collegiate supplement usage trends, articular cartilage injuries, and other topics. Saturday’s program features sessions on updates on PRP for knee osteoarthritis, labral injuries of the hip, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and body composition screenings, and other topics. 7 hours of Category A Continuing Education available, with up to 2 hours EBP-CE. The meeting also provides opportunities to network and socialize with athletic trainers from across the state. Join your fellow ATs for a social Friday evening. Cocktails and light appetizers will be offered. Plan to attend the Honors and Awards Luncheon and the MoATA Business meeting on Saturday. Register for this event soon. Tickets to the Honors and Awards Luncheon cannot be guaranteed for registrations processed after May 29. (The Honors and Awards Luncheon tickets will be confirmed at check-in for those who register after May 29).
This year’s program will offer a pre-conference workshop featuring a session on movement impairment and corrective exercises. This hands-on learning lab will begin Friday morning at 10:00am and is worth an additional 1.0 EBP-CE and 1.0 Category A. Also, being offered this year is a CPR recertification course on starting at 4:45pm. Pre-registration is required for these event. Proceeds from these workshops benefit the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Political Action Committee. ***PLEASE REGISTER SEPARATELY FOR THIS EVENT HERE***

The 2017 Social Event will be held Friday evening from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
Upon completion of this program, a participant will be able to:
- Recognize and effectively communicate the nutritional limitations of sports supplements compared to whole-food options.
- Develop effective training room strategies and support systems for dealing with emotional issues
- Apply evaluation and assessment knowledge to more accurately assess 1stCMC osteoarthritis in patients.
- Identify legal uses of forms of electronic communication
- Apply scientific rationale for PRP
