The 2018 MoATA Annual Meeting & Symposium will be held in Saint Charles, MO on the campus of Lindenwood University. The educational programming begins Friday June 1st at 1:00pm. Friday’s schedule includes educational sessions on up-to-date guidelines on safe monitoring of opioid use, yoga for athletes, the team approach to sports medicine, and other topics. Saturday’s program features sessions on updates on current literature regarding ACL prevention, myofascial pain modulation, hands-on labs for diagnostic ultrasound and IV simulation, and other topics. 6.0 hours of Category A Continuing Education available, with up to 2.0 hours EBP-CE (BOC Pending). The meeting also provides opportunities to network and socialize with athletic trainers from across the state. Join your fellow ATs for a social Friday evening. Cocktails and light appetizers will be offered. Plan to attend the Honors and Awards Luncheon and the MoATA Business meeting on Saturday. Register for this event soon. Tickets to the Honors and Awards Luncheon cannot be guaranteed for registrations processed after May 30. (The Honors and Awards Luncheon tickets will be confirmed at check-in for those who register after May 30).
The 2018 Social Event will be held Friday evening at the Trailhead Brewing Company from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

Upon completion of this program, a participant will be able to:
- Recognize the early warning signs of opioid abuse and dependency and how to provide initial management and crisis intervention as needed.
- To identify basic anatomy structures and functions of the dermis and epidermis regarding the nervous system
- Apply evaluation and assessment knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound to more accurately assess athletic injuries.
- Identify appropriate yoga postures to effectively evaluate movement dysfunction
- Demonstrate proper technique of IV application
