The conference is designed for certified athletic trainers, as well as athletic training students. This year’s conference will be held on the campus of Central Methodist University. The Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association 5th Annual Educator’s and Student Leadership Conference will be held in conjunction with the 2017 Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Quiz Bowl.

Specific Learning Outcomes Related to the Conference


At the conclusion of the conference the participant should be able to:

  1. Understand the use of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine as a conjunctive method of pain relief following musculoskeletal injuries.
  2. Identify various screening tools utilized during the PPE for detecting individuals at risk for congenital or acquired heart conditions.
  3. Assess various methodologies for integrating IPE and developing educational opportunities to improve critical thinking skills.
  4. Understand and apply new skills regarding intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as they relate to issues in athletic training


Conference Evaluation and Assessment

All attendees will receive an email within 1 week of the conference with a link to the post-event survey.  Please complete this form in a timely manner so that we can assess the benefits to you as a participant, provide feedback to the speakers, and obtain suggestions for future improvement. Once completed, you will be sent your Statement of Credit.

$10.00  Athletic Training student

$15.00 AT  – (including certified students) MoATA Member

$20.00  AT – Non-MoATA Member

*Late and on-site registration will be an additional $5.00 fee per person.*

If you plan to pay by check, please register utilizing the online registration site and stop at the point where it takes you to the PayPal site.


Deadline for Registration

Early Bird registration is through January 22, 2017.  Late and on-site registrations will be an additional $5.00 per person.



The MoATA will offer a full refund of the general conference registration fees for requests received by the date listed on the registration form. The registration fee is refundable (less $2.00 processing fee) if notification of cancellation is received no later than January 15, 2017. No refunds will be issued past this date. No refunds issued for no-shows.


All refund requests must be sent in writing (postal or email) to and received by Professional Meeting Chair, Scott Winslow moataeducation@gmail.com. Refunds will be issued to the original payer in the same amount as the payment received.  Refunds for credit cards will be credited to the same card used for payment. Refunds for cash or check payment will be provided in the form of a check, to be mailed to the address on the registration form within 4-6 weeks of receipt.


In the event a MoATA program is canceled, participants are entitled to a full refund.


Continuing Education

The Missouri Athletic Trainer’s Association (BOC AP# P318) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers.  This program is eligible for a maximum of 4.5 Category A hours/CEUs.  ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

MoATA Grievance Policy

Participants in any continuing education event presented by the MoATA who have a grievance should submit the grievance in writing to the Professional Meeting Chair within 30 days of the conclusion of the meeting. The Professional Meeting Chair will share the grievance with the MoATA Executive Committee for review and analysis.  The MoATA Executive Committee will review the grievance, determine a response, and articulate the outcome to the person filing the grievance.  The contact information for the MoATA Professional Meeting Chair and the MoATA Executive Committee can be found at the MoATA website found at www.moata.net
