In September, NATA members will have the opportunity to vote to determine who will be the next President of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Candidates in the race to become NATA’s 14th president are Kathy Dieringer, EdD, ATC, LAT, and Tory Lindley, MA, ATC.
NATA certified members should have received an email about the election from Intelliscan (NATA2017@intelliscaninc.com). If you did not receive the email, please check your spam folder or log in to the NATA website to make sure your email address is accurate. It’s important that you receive these emails because we want to ensure you’ll also receive your unique code needed to vote when the election opens Sept. 1.
NATA Annual Clinical Symposia attendees had the opportunity to get to know the 2018 presidential candidates during Face Time ’17 on Wednesday, June 28 in Houston, YX. During Face Time ’17, Dieringer and Lindley shared their goals for NATA and the athletic training profession as well as answer questions from members. The event was broadcasted through Facebook Live. If you missed the event, you can view through the link here.
Voting shall be conducted electronically Sept. 1-30. All NATA members will receive an email with further instructions. Please make sure your email address is accurate and up to date within the NATA system. (Printed ballots can be mailed by special request to those unable to vote electronically.)
Voting results will be posted in October. The new president will take over for current NATA President Scott Sailor, EdD, ATC, at the 2018 NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo and will serve a three-year term.
