MoATA Legislative Priorities
Rural Health Care Access - advocacy for school-based ATs and expanding the workforce indirectly supports access to care in rural regions, where athletic trainers may serve as a primary healthcare touchpoint for youth.
Provider Recognition - pursuit of non-discrimination legislation with payors, reinforcing the need for equitable reimbursement and formal provider recognition.
Workforce Expansion - facilitating job growth in athletic training across sectors and advocating for hiring AT positions and role diversification.
Youth Healthcare Access - importance of access for student populations and the need for enhanced autonomy in those roles.
