The Missouri Athletic Trainers' Association (MoATA) hosted its first-ever Education Conference on the campus of William Woods University in Fulton, MO on Saturday 2/2/13. Over 120 faculty and students from CAATE Accredited AT Programs across Missouri participated in the inaugural conference which consisted of lecture and hands-on seminars for students and educators. It also featured the MoATA Student Quiz Bowl competition with 7 programs participating.
The Governmental Affairs committee organized 4 dates for MoATA members to visit the Capitol and educate our legislators about the profession of athletic training. Each visit went incredibly well. Ask Josh about the program at our Annual Meeting and Symposium. Congratulations to the two students selected as delegates for the iLEAD conference in Dallas! See what they had to say about attending the conference!
